Larry is a founding partner and Principal Emeritus of Uzun + Case, retiring from active practice in 2023 after more than four decades in structural engineering. He began his career in bridge design before transitioning to buildings, where he discovered a passion for architectural detailing and constructability.

Throughout his career, Larry was known for his ability to translate complex architectural visions into practical, buildable solutions. One of his most celebrated achievements is the award-winning design of the Georgia Aquarium, a fast-track project that moved from concept to grand opening in just two and a half years.

Larry now enjoys traveling the world with his wife while continuing to pursue his lifelong passions for running and engineering. An avid recreational runner, he has completed 30 Peachtree Road Races and two Boston Marathons. In retirement, Larry dedicates much of his time to Engineers Without Borders, traveling to remote regions of Guatemala to help implement potable water distribution systems in the communities.
