Atlantic Park Development

U+C’s structural scope at this vibrant live-work-play development includes The Dome entertainment venue, podium design for the two large retail and residential buildings, and a stand-alone 8-level parking deck.
Cast-in-place flat plate concrete slabs were designed with gently curving perimeter canopies as an ode to the Atlantic Ocean waves, just 2 blocks east of the site.
Post-tensioned reinforcing was designed through the canopy slabs to support vegetated elevated balconies and extensive green roofs that enhance the community’s indoor-outdoor culture.
The mixed-use buildings are composed of 2-story and 4-story concrete podium structures supporting 4 stories and 3 stories, respectively, of stick-built residential housing.
The Dome entertainment venue is designed for 3,500 indoor guests and includes retractable hangar doors to host an additional 5,000 outdoor guests.
