Structural Features

  • The two dormitory buildings total 102,000 sf and 350 beds. The structures are designed using post-tensioned flat plate concrete floor systems. At the roof, concrete beams support timber trusses.
  • “The Jewel Box” is the central gathering place and is attached to the Audrey B. Morgan Hall. Featuring exposed glulam timber framing and indoor/outdoor fireplaces, the Jewel Box brings the campus’s natural surroundings inside for the students to enjoy together.
  • The project was completed on schedule and within the specified budget.
