Structural Features
- The upgrades at Jug Tavern Park included a large glulam and steel canopy protecting the new performance stage and support areas.
- Exposed glulam girders and roof deck connect the structure to the natural surroundings of the park, and the supporting HSS steel beams give the structure prominence as a performance venue.
- One of the more challenging design aspects was modeling and detailing the complicated geometry. The design team worked closely with the steel fabricator, steel detailer and glulam contractor during shop drawings reviews, which greatly helped the erection process.
