- Polytropos is a metal sculpture designed by the artist Maria Artemis.
- It serves as a prominent piece of the landscaping surrounding the University of Minnesota Duluth’s Chemical and Advanced Material Science Building.
- Polytropos weighs 6,000 lbs and consists of a steel skeleton with curved bronze plating.
- The cutouts in the bronze plating were inspired by the webs of ground spider who weave their webs in blades of grass.
