Structural Features

  • Arising from the drive to develop the university’s cultural fabric, the Performing and Visual Arts Complex was developed on the University of Georgia’s East Campus and includes three separate buildings.
  • The Georgia Museum of Art contains over 35,000 sf of galleries to display both permanent and traveling exhibits.  The facility includes curatorial workrooms, storage facilities, cafe, museum shop, and 260-seat auditorium.
  • UGA’s School of Music Building features classrooms, offices, individual and ensemble rehearsal rooms, a music library, and a 200-seat performance auditorium.  Architecturally, this facility features a radiused barrel roof.
  • The Performing Arts Center boasts two acoustically perfect concert halls with 1,096 and 358 seats and totaling 45,000 sf.  The entrance is a sweeping three-story tall lobby.
