Uzun + Case engineers, participated at the annual American Council of Engineering Companies of Georgia’s Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day at Kennesaw State University on Saturday, February 8th, 2020. This marked 5th year that Uzun + Case volunteered at the event.
Introduce a Girl to Engineering is an opportunity to present engineering through hands-on activities to 4th to 8th grade girls.
Uzun + Case helped the attendees make structures out of Lego blocks and place them against a “wrecking ball” to see if their building would withstand the impact or get demolished. This demonstrated that a tall and slender structure demolished easily compared to a wide and short one which was more robust.
