Jim has over 38 years of experience in a wide variety of building types and technologies, with a focus on effective integration of structure and architecture.
Jim was voted the 2013 Georgia Engineer of the Year, based upon his engineering accomplishments, his teaching activities, and his professional activities. He currently serves on the boards of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Georgia and of the University of Colorado Civil Architectural and Environmental Engineering Department.
Jim is passionate about architecture both professionally and personally. He and his wife have recently completed the restoration of a historic home in Decatur, Georgia.
